Fonds Foyer Richelieu is currently organizing its annual golf tournament which will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Rockway Vineyards Golf Course – 3290 Ninth St., St. Catharines, ON, L2R 6P7.
Thanks to the golfers and sponsors, the Fonds Foyer Richelieu Welland netted $40,000 last year. These dollars went toward the purchase of medical equipment for the residents and our Capital Campaign, which has surpassed the $3 million mark, toward the construction of a new long-term care (LTC) home.
This year we are facing an added challenge due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic has shed light on the very precarious situation of LTC homes, and we cannot overlook the urgency of building the new Foyer Richelieu. It is imperative that we move forward quickly with this project, and thus allow for an increase in the number of Francophone LTC beds available for vulnerable people in the community.
Last year, we have adapted and reinvented ourselves. We have several new features awaiting you for our annual golf tournament. Register quickly as the number of golfers is limited to 100.
On behalf of all the residents of the Foyer Richelieu Welland, I thank you in advance for your support and please accept my best wishes.
Looking forward to seeing you at the tournament.
Would you & your family like to leave a lasting legacy in your community? The Fonds Foyer Richelieu Welland is launching “A Brick at a Time” Campaign giving families the opportunity to purchase a Brick for $1,000 that will be placed in the garden of serenity at the new Foyer Richelieu Welland long term care home. As we have surpassed the fundraising goal of the “Touching Lives” Campaign, we are launching the “A Brick at a Time” Campaign to help with the purchase of the extra bells & whistles we wish for the new building.
This year the Rock-A-Thon is a virtual event to benefit the Fonds Foyer Richelieu Welland.
The Fonds Foyer Richelieu Welland Foundation organizes fundraisers in order to support the quality of life and care of the residents of the Foyer Richelieu Welland. Since 1989, The Foyer Richelieu Welland is a non-profit long-term care facility which specializes in improving the quality of life of people with chronic diseases. We ensure that the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and recreational needs of each resident are attended to on a daily basis.

Touching Lives Campaign Goal $5 Million
The Touching Lives Campaign has a goal of raising $5 million to create a campus of care for seniors.
PHASE ONE will build a new long-term care home with 128 beds, an increase from 65 beds.
PHASE TWO will retrofit our existing facility to create Maison Richelieu with 50 new wellness suites for supportive housing for seniors.
More than $15,000 raised during annual fundraiser
COVID-19 couldn’t keep volunteers and supporters of Foyer Richelieu from rocking.
More than $15,000 was raised from the senior home’s annual Rock-A-Thon fundraiser, which was held May 29.
This year’s event looked a little different than usual.
Annual Golf Tournament
Every second Wednesday in September the Fonds Foyer Richelieu Welland has its annual charity golf tournament. Registration begins at 11 am and the shotgun start will take place at 12:30 pm. Please be at the Club House no later than 12 noon (dress code in effect).
An income tax receipt will be issued for part of the $175 fee. See the enclosed registration sheet for details.
Please confirm your sponsorship and/or attendance by calling 905-734-1400, ext. 248 or email email@example.com and leave a message as soon as possible. As space is limited, we urge you to register as soon as possible.
On behalf of our residents, thank you for your positive response to this invitation.
A Rock-A- Thon is a marathon in which teams rock in rocking chairs, socialize, fraternize and have fun together. The main purpose of this Rock-A-Thon is to fundraise in order to be able to buy equipment to add to the quality to the life of our residents and have a great time doing this all together.
The residents, along with their families, friends and many donors really enjoy participating in the Rock-A-Thon. They have fun rocking on their rocking chairs, listening to rock, country and western music by “Brad Boland”, ‘Niagara Fiddlers`, etc. and by participating in a variety of activities during this Rock-A-Thon.
Some people will choose to simply make a donation, others will choose to make a donation and also participate in the Rock-A-Thon. Whatever your choice may be; be assured that we sincerely appreciate all your help and encouragement.
