The Foundation is undertaking the Touching Lives Campaign to help fund a campus of care for seniors at Foyer Richelieu Welland with construction of a new long-term care home and creation of wellness suites for supportive housing.
The Touching Lives Campaign will build on Foyer Richelieu of Welland’s long history of generous community support. The Foyer Richelieu Long Term Care Home was built through the efforts of the members of Club Richelieu, who raised more than $500,000 in the early 1990s from fundraising activities and community donations to purchase the land and fund construction. Every gift will move us one step closer to success.
The Foundation Foyer Richelieu Welland Inc. is a registered charity that raises money to benefit the residents of our non-profit, long-term care facility, which specializes in improving the life of people living with chronic diseases.
Since its establishment in 1997, the Foundation has secured donations from individuals, corporations, organizations and granting foundations. Fonds Foyer Richelieu also raises money through its annual Golf Tournament, Rock-A-Thon and Update on Medicine. These funds have helped improve the lives of residents and staff through the purchase of various types of equipment including specialized mattresses and lifts.
Foyer Richelieu Welland ensures that the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and recreational needs of each resident are attended to on a daily basis. Everyone at the Foyer aims for a peaceful environment, Catholic, Francophone and bilingual in nature although we accept all Ontarians who qualify to live in long-term care. We are proud to offer our residents services and quality care, full of respect and courtesy.
