Photography

To facilitate the orientation of a new resident, a photograph with their name will be permanently installed at the entrance to their room. We will notify you of the date when the photo will be taken.

General Information

A list of all the residents and their room number is available to all new residents at the nursing station. A photo album with information on each resident is also available at the main entrance of the Foyer.

Keys

At admission, we will give you a key for a custom cabinet. A deposit of $5.00 will be required to receive the key. We remind you that you are prohibited from making duplicates of the key. The rooms do not lock up.

Valuables

All valuables either money or jewelry can be kept in trust and in the safe at the administration office. Please take note that not all the residents’ rooms can be locked, such as semi-private rooms.

The Foyer Richelieu Welland is not responsible for any lost or stolen goods. Please inform the nurse on duty if you no4ce any of your belongings missing as soon as possible.

A locked compartment is available in the closet of every room.

Personal Items

We strongly suggest that all residents keep only the essential clothing items and personal objects in their room. Once a resident leaves, whether voluntarily or after death, the family is responsible for moving their belongings as soon as possible.

Evacuation Drills

Evacuation drills and evaluation of our security systems are held on a regular basis. We ask your cooperation and participation in these exercises.

In case of an Emergency

The residents and the visitors must follow the nurse’s instructions in case of an emergency or fire.
